Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Speculative rendering of Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Following on from the Lagonda GT I posted earlier this month, I present to you the next-generation Aston Martin V8 Vantage. The Lagonda GT and Aston V8 Vantage represent the two extremes of Aston Martin coupés, the GT being the big, wafty, luxurious range-topper, and the V8 Vantage being the smaller, nimble, "budget" Aston, if you could call it that.

There's a very clear visual connection between the new V8 Vantage and the larger DB11. Both cars have the new Aston corporate face - which means a larger grill and snake-like angled headlamps - as well as motor sport-inspired aerodynamic bodywork. Perhaps the most obvious nod to the Aston Martin DB11 is the dramatic roof strake which arcs from A-pillar to C-pillar. The car retains the long bonnet, short deck proportions that have defined Aston Martin grand tourers for a century.
